Symrise Faces OSHA Fines

Employees exposed to diacetyl, say regulators.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has proposed $122,000 in penalties for a Branchburg flavoring and fragrance manufacturer following a post-injury inspection, it announced yesterday. OSHA said it cited Symrise Inc. for two willful and 10 serious violations after the June inspection.
